Hello all!,

Gwyn and I are finishing up our contracts in NJ, and looking to head to the Pacific Northwest in a few weeks. Six months in NJ felt like a long time, but also a short blip in the grand scheme. We spent the weekends at the house and the work weeks in the van, so it was a change from our normal submerged van life routines.

The first three months of the contract in the winter months trying to stay warm and then the latter three months trying to cool off. Gwyn and I worked on a few updates adding new vent fans to the rooftop to bring in some cooler air and for the air flow which helped tremendously. We went a few months without a fan, so switching out the parts and having a good circulatory system was a game changer once the days started warming again.

I did feel like compared to other contracts, we didn’t explore NJ as much as we did South Dakota or even the New England area. I think we spent more time at the house because we wanted to spend time with friends and family here in the state, and there were a few chores that needed to be completed while we were in the area.

Closer to the end of the contract, we took the pups to the beach, hung out at Six Flags Great Adventure, walked around New Hope/Lambertville area, went biking and had lots of boba. I even got to go see The Liberty Bell in Philly out last full weekend here together.

Over and out,

Whit
